Watch these classics!!!

I finally watched The Godfather a couple weeks ago. I don't know why I waited so long, it was a good just like everyone said it was. This got me thinking of old movies that I have seen, some of which people my age have never even heard of. So I made a simple list of my favorite movies that are at least 39 years old. I wanted to make it 40 but I couldn't leave "A Clockwork" off the list. In this age of 8ft tall blue people flying off the screen and Michael Bay blowing up more cars than the Taliban, sometimes it's a nice change of pace to watch something a bit simpler. Anyway here's the list.

I saw A Clockwork Orange when I was 16 and thought it was soooo bad ass. I'm 26 now and it's still bad ass.

Great suspense from the master of it.

Funny screwball comedy. Amazing dialogue between Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell

The bicycle theif. I don't even know how to explain it. This movie punches me in the stomach and I love it for doing so.

Honestly, this is my favorite comedy of all time. F'n hilarious. So smart, so funny.

  1. I might have to come over and raid your dvd stash again. You've been raving about Duck Soup since I can remember and I still haven't seen the whole thing. Good list!
